amalgam

Advantages: It has strong compressive strength, can withstand chewing friction, and has stable performance.

Composite resin

The representative of non-metallic materials is a polymer material, based on acrylic resin, adding glass, quartz and other particles for strengthening purposes.

Disadvantages: The compressive strength and wear resistance are not as good as amalgam, and the service life is not as long as amalgam.

Glass ionomer cement (GIC)

Also known as polyalkene ester cement, it is a traditional ionic polymer. It can be placed in the cavity without the use of adhesives.

Advantages: safe, with excellent physical and chemical properties, easy to use, beautiful appearance.

Disadvantages: The fracture strength, toughness and durability are all weak.

Improved GIC (Innovative Ionic Polymer)

Improve the properties of traditional ionic polymers, and enhance the ability to resist fracture, wear and corrosion.

The modified GIC formula includes:

·Resin modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC)

·Mixed ion cement (double curing and triple curing)

·Bioactive glass ion
